Computer Addiction

Computer Addiction

Hdmi

Dictionary explains addiction as "the state of being enslaved to a habit or practice or to something that is psychologically or physically habit-forming, as narcotics, to such an extent that its cessation causes severe trauma."

True! But how can computer lead to something as serious as 'addiction'?
Believe it or not, computers and related fields have entangled man, woman and kids into its mesmerizing world so much that he has forgotten social norms of interacting.
Everyone around has become so fond of typing that no registers and copies and pens do exist now! The easiest thing to do is to sit in front of the PC and complete your work.

This sounded sensible when it started for it prevented all the efforts teachers did in reading different handwritings and clumsy work. But adversely this has lead to no homework being done genuinely. Homework can be easily copied from a friend, with a click or even from the internet itself with the least effort.

Computers were good when no accounts were to be maintained on paper and the machine did all the calculation, but what about the computer bugs that do this trade off in calculations and are so complex for a normal human being that tracing 'what went wrong and where' is next to impossible. Loosing of important data due to sudden computer crash can again be very frustrating.
Such has become the fate of computer.

Today, with the ease of getting an internet connection, computer and internet are almost used as synonyms of each other.
Internet, as its other counterpart did start with its entire chocolaty image, but its affects have been quite adverse especially for the kids.

Gambling and porn mostly constitute the negativity of this internet and computer world standing against a huge list of advantages, but still, when measured on a scale, these two things out weigh the effect of all the positive aspects internet and computer has to offer.
